Lake Eyre via William Creek – Full Day Trip

Lake Eyre Reflection Wilpena Pound Broken Hill Township

Departure time from Broken Hill is 8:00am.

Depart Broken Hill in the morning for an unforgettable trip to see Australia’s largest lake.

The first leg of the trip takes you over the following features:

  • Silverton
  • Border fence between SA & NSW
  • Lake Frome
  • Arkaroola (in the northern Flinders Ranges)
  • The Cooper Creek
  • Lake Eyre North (Madigan Gulf, Campbell Point, Jackboot Bay, Dalhunty Island & Belt Bay)
  • After flying over Lake Eyre we will land at William Creek for a beautiful lunch at the local hotel. Officially the smallest town in Australia, William Creek is located on the largest working cattle station in the world – Anna Creek Station.

    On the way back to Broken Hill you will overfly the following features:

  • Lake Eyre South
  • Marree
  • Leigh Creek Coal Mines
  • Flinders Ranges
  • Wilpena Pound
  • Broken Hill City and Mining Operations
  • At certain times this can be a unique opportunity to see the Lake in flood, with the surrounding countryside showing an unusual amount of greenery.

    Duration: 6 hours flight time.
    Estimated arrival back at Broken Hill is 4:30pm.

    $1800 per person (minimum 2 people)
